Do you need help with your Mac, iPad or iPhone, Apple Watch or Windows PC? Do you want to learn new things about technology and the internet?

Tech Clinics will provide useful tips, hardware and software recommendations, helpful advice, and teach you about getting more from your computers and devices.

During each 2-hour session, you will have ample time to ask questions and discuss problems. Topics will change each month so you will never know exactly what to expect! Bring your laptop or mobile device with you if you can.

Mac Essentials (2 sessions) ($10)

The first session of this workshop will focus on understanding the key features of the Mac. You will learn how to organize and find files, how to use built-in apps to perform basic tasks, and how to configure the computer for better performance. You will learn how to protect your important files and what to do when trouble strikes.

The second session will provide you with tips, tools, and techniques to help you use your Mac more effectively. Learn to use productivity apps, how to free yourself of clutter, and how to protect your important files. Learn what to do when trouble strikes.

It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a long-time Mac user, there are always new things to learn (or re-learn). Workshops are a mixture of presentations, demonstrations, and exercises. If you have a laptop bring it with you to class. Class participants will be provided with links to a variety of useful resources and tutorials.

Using Numbers ($5)

This workshop will introduce you to the basic features of the Apple Numbers spreadsheet app by creating several useful spreadsheets such as a to-do list, a daily schedule, and a basic budget. We will cover topic such as formatting, simple equations, importing and exporting, connecting to iCloud, and printing.

Workshops are a mixture of presentations, demonstrations, and exercises. Class participants will be provided with links to a variety of useful resources and tutorials. If you don’t have a copy of the free Numbers app, go to the Mac App Store and download it. Bring your laptop if you have one.

Using Pages ($5)

This workshop will introduce you to the basic features of the Apple Pages word processing app by creating several simple documents. We will cover topics such as formatting, working with images and objects, connecting to iCloud, importing and exporting, and printing. Workshops are a mixture of presentations, demonstrations, and exercises. Class participants will be provided with links to a variety of useful resources and tutorials. If you don’t have the free Pages app, go to the Mac App Store and download it. Bring your laptop if you have one.

Using Google Drive/Apps ($5)

Google Drive is a free service that allows you to store files online (up to 15GB) and access them anywhere using the cloud. Google Drive includes free web-based applications for creating documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more. These applications will be familiar to anyone that has used Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.). Anyone with a Google account automatically has a Google Drive account. Google Drive is one of the most popular cloud storage services today and is used by many companies, schools, and universities. Marion County Schools will be equipping all students with Chromebook laptops which depend upon the Google suite of apps.

This workshop will introduce you to Google Drive and the associated apps and help you get started using it to create, edit, and share documents . Workshops are a mixture of presentations, demonstrations, and exercises. Class participants will be provided with links to a variety of useful resources and tutorials.
